Collaborating with Local Youth to Create 3D Chalk Art at Redwood Falls Library

I’m so proud of these Jr. Chalk Artists! 🤩 This past week, they worked together to create an incredible 3D chalk art piece at the Redwood Falls Library. It was a joy to watch them collaborate, learn, and bring the artwork to life.

The goal for this project was not only to create something visually striking but also to make it educational and collaborative. The artwork will be showcased at an upcoming event, and I couldn’t be more excited to see their hard work on display.

Before we started, I had the outline prepped and ready to go. From there, the Jr. Artists took over, adding all the colors, details, and extra 3D rock elements to the piece. Along the way, they learned about the techniques that help create 3D effects, essential chalk painting skills, and more.

Watching these young artists try something new and work together to create something special was such a rewarding experience.

A huge thank you to Jill, Connie, and the entire Redwood Falls Library team for inviting me to lead this project! It’s always wonderful to see the positive impact your programming has on the community, and I’m grateful to have been a part of it.
