STREET PAINTING & CHALK ART
Tara creates large scale works of 2D and 3D art with different levels of permanence. This could be done on pavement or portable walls and materials for corporate and private events. 3D chalk art, also known as anamorphic art, is a highly distorted image on a horizontal surface and when viewed from a particular location, appears to be 3D. The artwork can be painted directly on the street/pavement, or on a movable surface like vinyl.

The Process
1 | Discovery
Submit a request with your information here. I'll connect with you via phone, email or both to understand your needs, goals and design ideas.
2 | Pricing, Contract & Deposit
You receive an estimate and contract based on your request, design, and goals. If everything looks good, you sign the contract and pay a deposit.
3 | Design Time
Leveraging what we discussed in the Discovery phase, I'll put together a design(s) for you to provide feedback on and make revisions. The amount of designs you receive and the amount of revisions included in your pricing is provided in your contract and invoice. Once everyone has agreed on the design, you'll approve it and I'll prepare for installation.
4 | Preparation
Depending on the artwork and event/goal, I leverage this time to prepare the materials and things I need to install the artwork. If I'm completing the artwork on site, I'm gathering and preparing everything I'll need in advance of the installation date (services date or event date). In some cases, I'm preparing all or part of the artwork prior to an event or installation date depending on what was decided.
5 | Installation
Time to install and create your artwork! This is the best part of the process where we get to see everything come to life. In most cases, this is installed or created on site during the agreed upon installation timeframe. In some cases, the artwork may be installed and created on site before and/or during the event. In other cases, I'm transporting artwork created in advance and installing it before or during the event. All intallation details are determined in the Discovery phase so we know exactly what you need and are prepared.

Though this is a non-refundable deposit, we do have policies for refunds under unique circumstances such as Poor Weather, Accident, Sickness, etc. This is covered in the Discovery step and detailed in our contracts.
Chalk Art FAQs
What is chalk art, and how can it enhance our event?
Chalk art, also known as street painting, involves creating artwork using chalk, pastels, or washable paint on a pavement or concrete surface. It adds an immersive and interactive element to events, captivating attendees, and providing a unique form of entertainment and engagement.
What types of events are suitable for chalk art?
Chalk art is incredibly versatile and can elevate a wide range of events, including corporate gatherings, product launches, trade shows, and fundraisers. Whether indoors or outdoors, large or intimate, chalk art can tailor to the objectives and goal of your event, making it memorable, impactful, and unique.
Can the chalk art be customized to fit our event theme or brand?
Absolutely! As a chalk artist, I create custom designs that align with your event's theme, brand identity, event goals, and other specific requirements. From incorporating logos and branding elements to capturing a seasonal campaign, I work with you to ensure the artwork resonates with your audience, reinforces a message or theme, and meets your goals.
What are the space and surface requirements for chalk art at our venue?
For optimal results, chalk art is best on smooth and porous surfaces such as concrete, asphalt, or pavement. We can also leverage other materials to use as a large canvas (e.g. vinyl) when those surfaces are not available or have restrictions in place. The ideal space should provide ample room for both the artwork and audience interaction. This could be as small as 30 sq. ft. (e.g., 6'x6') to upwards of 200-300 sq. ft. (e.g., 10' x 30') for larger 3D pieces. I can adapt to a variety of surface dimensions and conditions, ensuring the artwork integrates into your venue layout.
How long does it take to create?
The duration depends on factors such as the size, complexity, and intricacy of the design. I typically require a minimum of 4-6 weeks lead time, but can expedite upon request. Please note, additional charges may incur for expedited requests. I work efficiently to meet deadlines and communicate with clients to ensure timely completion without compromising quality.
Are there any weather considerations for outdoor chalk art?
Indeed, weather conditions can impact outdoor chalk art, particularly rain, extreme heat and poor air quality. To mitigate risks, we determine a back-up location and plan during the Discovery phase. I monitor weather forecasts closely and implement as many protective measures as I can to ensure the art is successfully installed. In the rare occurrence we cannot implement the back-up plan or adapt for the weather, we can review the Poor Weather Policy during the Discovery and contract phase.
Do we need to provide any materials or equipment?
All materials are included in the pricing. I come fully equipped with all the necessary materials and tools to create and install the artwork. I'll handle the logistical details so you can focus on other aspects of event planning.
Can the chalk art be preserved or captured for future use? Chalk art is a unique form of artwork and part of its magic lies in that it's temporary, allowing viewers to appreciate it in the moment. While the artwork may fade over time, I understand the desire to capture and preserve it. I encourage event organizers and attendees to take plenty of photos and videos. Additionally, if desired, I can arrange for a professional photographer or videographer to capture the artwork for archival purposes or promotional use.
